Boom Duo create spontaneous compositions in the moment exploring traditional and invented song forms, rhythms and soundscapes. Boom Duo is comprised of John Lacques on drums and percussion and Noah Thomas on trumpets and electronics. Lacques has studied and performed in a wide variety of drumming styles including Classical Indian music, jazz, rock, punk and professional theater productions in LA and Ventura Counties. Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist and anthropologist who’s musical journey has included classical, jazz, world music, rock and experimental genres.
