DESCRIPTION:Chris Plasencia Trio\nHappy Hour 5-7 pm \nChristine Plasencia\, throughout her career as a music instructor and performer\, has always nurtured the\nlove of music in herself and her students. Christine earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in violin\nperformance from Central Michigan University (1982-1986). She continued graduate work in\nperformance and music education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale (1986-1989). During this\ntime she played in several professional symphonies including Saginaw Symphony (1984-1986)\, Memphis\nSymphony (1987)\, and the Springfield Symphony (1987-1989). Christine’s interest in musical styles\nshifted over the years to fiddle and jazz styles. Over the years she has lead several bands including\nFiddle Gumbo\, Segue and most recently Chris & Tim and Friends. \nGreg Spaulding is a versatile and much sought after pianist. He is classically trained\,\nwith a degree in music from U.C. Santa Barbara and a passion for jazz. Notable\nmusicians he has performed with include Airto Moreira\, Ed Shaughnessy\, Carl\nSaunders\, and Bobby Rodriguez. A skilled composer and lyricist\, Greg has composed\nfor film and writes and directs children’s musicals. He has been accompanist and/or\nmusical director of productions of Fiddler on the Roof\, Shrek\, In the Heights\, The Sound\nof Music\, Grease and many others. Greg has played with the Ojai Pops Orchestra\, the\nRay Mehlbaum Quartet\, Swing Shift Big Band\, the Greg Spaulding Trio\, the Ventura\nJazz Collective\, the Ventura Klezmer Band and many other groups. Current projects\ninclude playing with the jazz fusion group King Masala and the soul/funk/Latin band\nStricken Souls \n  \nTim Martinez is a passionate musician\, woodworker and cook whose creativity shines through everything he does. Whether improvising a guitar solo\, crafting a custom piece of furniture\, or creating something memorable in the kitchen\, Tim approaches every endeavor with imagination\, precision\, and heart. \nInfluenced by artists such as Elton John\, Jimi Hendrix\, Led Zeppelin\, Yes\, Rush\, Emerson\, Lake & Palmer\, Jeff Beck\, and Genesis\, Tim developed his musicianship largely through self-study. Over the years he has performed in rock bands\, jazz ensembles\, orchestras\, show productions\, and vocal groups\, cultivating a lifelong love of musical performance. \n

He began playing the clarinet at the age of 8 and added saxophone and flute at 15. He lives in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife Alex and his son\, Ryan. Over his career Webb has played and recorded with such notable talents as Horace Silver\, Freddie Hubbard\, Sal Marquez\, Stanley Clarke\, Quincy Jones\, Mat Marucci\, Kyle Eastwood\, Billy Childs\, Rod Stewart\, Carly Simon\, Art Davis\, Kenny Rogers\, Bonnie Raitt\, Pancho Sanchez and Vikki Carr. He played with the house band for the Dennis Miller TV show\, the Jimmy Cleveland orchestra and continues to tour with the Doc Severinsen big band. He has recorded music for hundreds of movies and television programs. He solos on the sound track for Mystic River\, Million Dollar Baby and Jersey Boys. Webb has been featured on hundreds of recordings. \nDanny Carey is an American musician and songwriter who is the drummer for the progressive metal band Tool. He has also contributed to albums by artists such as Zaum\, Green Jellö\, Pigface\, Skinny Puppy\, Adrian Belew\, Carole King\, Collide\, Meat Puppets\, Lusk\, and the Melvins.
