GLENN CASHMAN found inspiration for a freewheeling, compositional approach to saxophone and improvisation in the playing of Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane. His compositions reflect a rainbow of influences that encompass the music of Bob Brookmeyer, Gil Evans, Ivan Lins, Burt Bacharach, and Aaron Copland. As a saxophonist he leads a quartet, a nonet and as an organist, a trio. He was Founding Artistic Director of the Muckenthaler Jazz Festival in Fullerton (2006-18). I’ve Got Your Rhythm was his first CD as a leader, also showcasing jazz luminaries Kenny Barron, Ray Drummond and Ben Riley.

As tenor saxophonist with Luther Hughes & the Cannonball-Coltrane Project, his compositions appear on the group’s four noteworthy CDs. Pianist Tom Ranier and Glenn collaborated on an intimate duo recording Blue In Green and co-led an engaging sextet project Bright Idea. The highly acclaimed 2009 release Glenn Cashman & the Southland Big Band! preceded the 2013 CD Glenn Cashman’s Southland Nonet- Music Without Borders CD, the latter cited by JazzTimes as a top 50 jazz release of 2013 by writer Scott Albin.

Glenn has performed or recorded with Claudio Roditi, Ron Eschetè, Dennis Chambers, Drew Gress, Harold Danko, Bill Cunliffe, Bill Holman Big Band, Steve Huffsteter Big Band, Holly Hofmann, Mike Wofford, Bill Warfield Big Band, Mundell Lowe, Gap Mangione Big Band, The Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra (NYC) and many others.

Adam Cohen… A true “double-threat” on both acoustic and electric bass, Adam brings a wealth of musical knowledge and musicianship stemming from his many years on stage, in the studio, as a teacher, and on the road.

His prowess on both basses has led Cohen to work with the likes of Ray Charles, Taylor Dayne, The New York Voices, Englebert Humperdinck, David Benoit, Ernie Watts, Maxine Nightingale, Phil Upchurch, Eric Benet and Mark Isham. In 2022, Adam joined Dave Koz & Friends at Sea, for a tour of Amsterdam and The British Isles.
Whatever the situation, he brings along his easily recognizable strong yet flexible groove, warm clear sound and lyrical improvisations.
